Stephen Yi

Biography

Dr. S. Stephen Yi is Director of Bioinformatics, Developmental Therapeutics Lab, at Dell Medical School of the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Yi is also an affiliated faculty with the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering & Sciences, the Department of Biomedical Engineering, and the Institute of Cellular and Molecular Biology. Dr. Yi received his doctoral degree from University of Iowa,  and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Cancer Systems Biology at Harvard University. 

Dr. Yi’s lab research is at the interface of human disease biology and informatics in the modern era of precision health and personalized medicine. His lab combines computational and experimental expertise to build a quantitative understanding of genetic/epigenetic variation and signaling network perturbation in disease. Currently, Dr. Yi’s research interests include network reprograming/engineering, tumor immunology and metabolism, synthetic lethality and drug resistance, next-gen sequencing analysis and multi-omics network biology.
